Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor for our client a local government based in Bournemouth.

The successful candidate will be working across shared services to deliver a professional and consistent employee relations service which enables customers to manage their people resources effectively.

The role is ER focused and will be looking after Operational areas providing expert ER advice and guidance to managers and dealing with all ER cases.

This is a 6 month starting contract with the possibility for extensions.

Two positions are available one full time and one part time (hours to be discussed for part time). Hybrid working is available.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Proactively manage and deliver employee relations casework.
  • Provide professional advice on all aspects of employee relations including absence management, grievance, disciplinary and performance management, escalating casework where appropriate.
  • Work closely with other HR colleagues and across services to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with Trade Unions to resolve individual cases and effective consultation on people related solutions.
  • Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation.
  • Coach, train and develop managers in good practice employee relations knowledge & skills.
  • Update policies and procedures and ensure compliance.

Personal Requirements:

  • Part qualified CIPD.
  • Previous experience of working within a Human Resources environment.
  • Must be able to travel, using public or other forms of transport where they are viable, or by holding a valid UK driving licence with access to own or pool car.

Working Hours: 09:00am – 17:00pm,  Monday – Friday

Pay: £20.07 p/h 

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
