Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst for our client a local government organisation in Guildford.

This role is a 12 month initial contract with the possibility to extend. This role is hybrid working.

Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Work closely with the Project Manager and subject matter experts from the service areas concerned to achieve the Project’s goals.
  • Identify and undertake all necessary business analysis tasks including gaining a solid understanding of current processes and pain points, user needs analysis and requirements elicitation, developing ‘to be’ processes.
  • Document and communicate your findings and ideas to the project team, service, and other stakeholders.
  • Work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Shape and evaluate options as part of business case development.
  • Research how comparable authorities/companies deliver similar services.

Personal Requirements:

  • A proactive, self-starter with a commitment to continuously improve services for residents.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, spot trends, and use insights to shape smarter strategies.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing local government.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally in public sector or transformation settings .
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high pressured environment, managing conflicting priorities

Working Hours: 37hrs / 9:00am – 17:00pm / Monday to Friday

Pay: Negotiable

Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
