We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager for a Semi-Independent Accommodation program.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the overall management and operation of the facility, ensuring the well-being and development of residents
The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Manager to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes independence and personal growth for residents transitioning to semi-independent living.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Provide supervision and support to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Assist in the development and implementation of support plans to meet residents’ needs and goals.
- Collaborate with the Manager and other team members to create a positive and cohesive working environment.
- Support and guide staff in delivering high-quality care and services.
- Encourage and empower residents to develop essential life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and self-care.
- Foster an atmosphere that promotes independence, personal responsibility, and community engagement.
- Assist in crisis management and resolution, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
- Implement emergency procedures as necessary and liaise with relevant authorities.
- Participate in administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records, updating files, and reporting as required.
- Monitor and manage the budget for the semi-independent accommodation program.
- Contribute to the training and development of staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills to support residents effectively.
- Stay informed about best practices and industry standards related to semi-independent living.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of services provided, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct regular assessments to measure the progress of residents and adjust support plans accordingly.
- Build positive relationships with external agencies, community resources, and stakeholders to enhance support services for residents.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner at community events and meetings.
Personal Requirements:
- Previous experience working in management in a semi-independent accommodation.
- Previous experience working with young adults aged 18-25 yrs old.
- Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals transitioning to independent living.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to social care and accommodation services.
- Knowledge of OFSTED regulations.
Working Hours: 09:00 am – 17:00 pm – Monday – Friday
Salary: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per annum + benefits
Please note this role is within the scope of IR35.
